Computers By Ken is pleased to offer a wide variety of services. Whether you're a business or a home user, our services are designed to fit your needs, no matter what! No job is considered too small or too big for us,

and appraisals and quotes are always free!

Below, you will see a list of standard services that we offer. At this time, we specialize in PC repair and do some work with Apple products.

We cannot do screen replacements on iPods, iPads, smartphones, or tablets. We generally refer people to Craig at 802-275-5001.

If you have a need that doesn't quite fit one of the services listed below, feel free to call us or to stop in and talk with us about it. We will always do our best to accommodate our customer's needs!

Here are the services we offer:

General PC and Laptop Repair

At Computers By Ken, we specialize in repairing computers. No job is too big or too small for us to take on. Prices vary from job to job, so be sure to come in and get an estimate!

Service Calls

Computers By Ken offers on-site service calls to homes and businesses alike. Service calls are $80/hr for homes and $100/hr for businesses.

Data Recovery

Have a failed hard drive or an old computer that won't turn on anymore? We do data recovery starting based on how hard it is, starting at $40. If it's beyond us we are partnered with Drive Savers who are experts in the business.

Virus Protection

Virus protection is a must have for all computer users! Windows 10 and 11 include built-in protection which makes additional software a personal choice for most users. Windows 7 should have additional protection however. We sell Norton Antivirus for three computers for $30 a year.

New and Used Computers

We build new towers for customers with a building fee of $100 up to $1000 for the computer, $150 up to $2000 and $200 if above. If we find a good price on something, we pass it on to you. We make it a point to overbuild so that your tower will last for years to come.

For new laptops we will help you choose the right one for your needs, and we're happy to order and pick up as needed so you won't have to deal with pushy salespeople.

For a new computer purchased through us or brought in we typically charge $95 for setup and transfer from your old machine.

Used computers are available as often as possible, but please note that demand for laptops far outstrips the supply. We always put a new hard drive into used machines (typically a Solid State Drive) and new batteries into laptops unless we find that the current one is in excellent shape. Typical prices start at about $100 for a tower and $140 for a laptop, topping out at $225 unless it's super high-end.

Window Washing

Ken did professional window washing as a teenager and is offering it to residential customers now. Spring through Fall you can get them done for $50 an hour. Pressure washing is also available.

Video Transfer

We have the equipment needed to transfer VHS, VHS-C/S (They are the same tape size), DV, and 8MM cassettes. We charge $5 per video and prefer to put them on a flash drive (feel free to provide one or we can sell you one). DVDs are an option at $1 each but be warned that large screens will hurt the viewing experience.
